GLENDALE — The NFL came out with its Top 100 Players of 2025 over the past few weeks and fans are confused about Arizona Cardinals tight end Trey McBride’s ranking.

McBride was ranked No. 65 in this year’s rankings due to his strong season last year. He’s the highest-ranked Cardinal and is one of two on the list — with Josh Sweat at No. 95. However, fans have questioned McBride’s ranking after Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce was ranked No. 37.

Many fans have pointed out that Kelce’s statistics from last year aren’t better than McBride’s. Kelce had 97 catches, 823 receiving yards and three touchdowns. In comparison, McBride had 111 catches, 1,146 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Fans took to social media to question the rankings, asking if the rankings are based on “popularity” instead of performance.

While there is still ongoing debate about the NFL’s Top 100 list, McBride’s 2024 season has convinced fans that he’s earned far more than just the No. 65 spot.
