The Arizona Cardinals need a win to get into the postseason. However, the team will be shorthanded at wide receiver on Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams, which doesn't bode well for Arizona's chances.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Cardinals are "not optimistic" that Larry Fitzgerald will be able to suit up against the Rams. The veteran wide receiver could tough it out, but Kliff Kingsbury isn't counting on him to be available.
Fitzgerald did not practice all week while dealing with a groin injury.
Cardinals are not optimistic that WR Larry Fitzgerald, listed as questionable with a groin injury, will be able to play vs the Rams, per source. With Christian Kirk out, Fitzgerald could try to surprise Arizona. But the team was not counting on having him available.

With Christian Kirk on the reserve/COVID list, Arizona will be down two of its top three receivers.
Fitzgerald has appeared in 13 games this season, reeling in 54 catches for 409 yards and one touchdown. It has been one of his least productive seasons in the NFL, but he is 37-years-old, and his time in the league certainly is winding down.
Luckily for the Cardinals, the Rams will be without Jared Goff due to a thumb injury that required surgery. John Wolford will be making his first career NFL start on Sunday, and there's no telling how he might do when he takes the field at SoFi Stadium.
