GLENDALE – In the desert, the heat isn’t just from the sun, it’s radiating from the quarterback room in Glendale. With a healthy Kyler Murray and veteran Jacoby Brissett on the roster, the Arizona Cardinals face a defining decision. Do the Cardinals ride with their face of their franchise and the former No. 1 pick who’s still searching for playoff success, or trust the veteran journeyman who’s earned a reputation as a stabilizer?
Murray’s raw talent is undeniable. Electric with his legs, capable of dazzling throws on the run, and still just 28, he should be the franchise. But the NFL isn’t built on potential, it’s built on production, and Murray hasn’t posted a winning season since 2021.
Brissett is everything Murray isn’t. Methodical, unflashy, but dependable. His 2022 stint with Cleveland proved he can run an offense, and manage a locker room. For a young Cardinals team growing under head coach Jonathan Gannon, that might be exactly what’s needed.
You can’t watch the Cardinals with Jacoby Brissett and tell me they’re better off with Kyler Murray. You just can’t. It’s time the Cardinals came to this realization.

The Cardinals are without James Conner
Without Trey Benson
On their 4th and 5th string running backsOr how BOTH Zay Jones and Michael Wilson’s numbers the last 2 weeks have surpassed the first 5 games of 2025.
Plus, Zay Jones has…

The biggest thing that Kyler Murray does have is that he has a 9-0 record at AT&T Stadium dating back since his high school days, and Murray seems eager to get his tenth victory in a row. For Cardinals fans, the choice comes down to this: trust in potential, or trust in performance? Arizona fans have felt this regime might be on its last leg and are hesitant to let Murray re-prove himself, and would like to see the QB competition become real.
