Cardinals Scout and Kliff Kingsbury Spotted Chatting Before USC Practice
Rob Schumacher/The Republic / USA TODAY NETWORK

Former Arizona Cardinals coach Kliff Kingsbury was seen before a USC Trojans practice chatting with a Cardinals team scout. Kingsbury has one of the most talent filled rosters in college football. The one-win Arizona Cardinals are staring down the barrel of a top pick in next years draft.

What Could They Be Chatting about?

Now Kingsbury is the former Arizona Cardinals coach, he could just be chatting with an old friend. The organization could be sending an old friend over to USC to check out players and catch up with their former coach. While they most likely did do some catching up, I’m willing to bet they also talked about some players.

The most obvious player here is Caleb Williams. It is very possible that the Arizona Cardinals get the first overall pick in the 2024 draft. With the Trojans quarterback being the likely first overall pick, he could be a Cardinal. Williams is not the only Trojan that is expected to go in an early round. USC also has the number one ranked safety in the country Callen Bullock. Bullock is the 32nd ranked recruit in the country, and if the Bears end up locking down the first overall pick, the Trojans safety can make an immediate impact.

Williams and Bullock are the two top prospects for the Trojans. Both of them are ranked number one at their positions. It is likely that the Cardinals can land one of the two prospects out of USC. Arizona also has the Texans first round draft pick which it’s looking like will be in the middle of the first round.
