GLENDALE – Just before the beginning of rookie minicamps, the Arizona Cardinals announced that it has signed four draft picks from the 2025 NFL draft. The team announced on Thursday that four of the seven players have signed with the team on four-year rookie contract.

Cardinals rookies to sign contract:

The players that remain unsigned are 1st-round pick Walter Nolen, 2nd-round pick Will Johnson, and 4th-round pick Cody Simon. Despite not signing contracts, all three participated in the first day of rookie minicamp at the Tempe training facility.

It’s normal for rookies to wait till after or during rookie minicamp to finalize their contract, with much of the negotiation for top picks being directed at the signing bonus. Raiders rookie running back Ashton Jeanty’s signing bonus was $22,746,044, and while Arizona’s Nolen probably won’t reach that number, he’ll look for a significant payday.

In 2024, Marvin Harrison Jr. didn’t sign his rookie contract until near the end of May, so fans might have to wait for Nolen and Johnson to put pen to paper. Regardless, the rookie minicamp lasts three days, with a voluntary veterans workout beginning on Monday, and the unsigned rookies are expected to be out there for those dates.
