There is no sugarcoating it, the Arizona Cardinals are in a total free fall. They started off the season 2-0, but they have only won one game since and seem poised for another top pick in the first round of the NFL Draft.
The early stages of this brutal skid were defined by heartbreaking losses, like blown fourth-quarter leads to the Tennessee Titans and the San Francisco 49ers.
However, the losing has had much more to do with injures lately, namely to quarterback Kyler Murray.
He has been out for more than a month with a foot injury and recent reporting suggests that he may be a candidate for injured reserve.
Truthfully, the offense seemed to find some success with Murray sidelined, but their momentum will likely be halted today with promising, young wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. sitting out against the 49ers.
The Cardinals decided to sign Andre Baccellia to the active roster while the second-year pass catcher gets healthy.
We have made the following roster moves:

Baccellia has only gotten snaps during one season in the NFL, but luckily it was with Arizona, so he is somewhat familiar with the team.
Although he has mainly been a special teams player during his career, he could see some offensive snaps today with Harrison Jr.’s fellow receiver Zay Jones tearing his Achilles.
The Cardinals have to know that the playoffs are a long shot at this point, so all they can really do is try to build offensive consistency for next season.
They will have their full complement of weapons back, and they could have a top draft pick to contribute depending on how the rest of this season plays out.
Harrison Jr. won’t be on the field for Arizona this week, but it could end up being a blessing in disguise in the long run.
