It feels like the Arizona Cardinals will walk into the offseason with a mountain of questions to answer about their organizational structure and the leaders on the roster moving forward.
Quarterback Kyler Murray has been hurt since the beginning of October, and with Jacoby Brissett playing some of the best football of his career as the backup, it sounds like the former No. 1 overall pick could be on another team to start next season.
Wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. was once a question mark, but he’s been much more consistent this year and has shown many more flashes of the elite wideout he was projected as.
The jury is still out on whether he will become one of the best receivers of his generation, but he has at least secured his spot on the roster for the next few years.
The one knock on Harrison Jr. is his availability as he has already missed three games this season and will be held out of a fourth today.
In response, Arizona decided to sign wide receiver Steven Sims to the practice squad for added insurance.

Sims hasn’t gotten many offensive snaps over the last few seasons, where he has been much more of a special teams contributor.
Typically, a player like this wouldn’t get on the field, but Sims has a chance because another Cardinals receiver, Greg Dortch, was placed on injured reserve.
Michael Wilson will likely be the main target for Brissett, a third-year receiver who has thrived in the absence of Harrison Jr.
He has eclipsed 100 yards in every game the first-round receiver has missed this season, but he will have a more challenging time erupting this week against cornerback Derek Stingley Jr. of the Houston Texans.
Stingley Jr. is one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL, who has shut down some of the best receivers in the league, so there is no telling what he can do to Wilson.
There are a ton of important laundry list items Arizona needs to address this offseason, but the receiver room isn’t one of them.
