Cardinals' Trey McBride joins exclusive 'Madden' 99 club

After putting together one of the all-time seasons for a tight end, Arizona Cardinals star Trey McBride was rewarded with an inclusion in an exclusive club for the upcoming season.

Trey McBride joins the 99 club

Monday brought the announcement of the members of the "99 club" for 'Madden 27,' and while there were some familiar names on the list, there were also some new ones.

One of those newcomers was McBride, as he joined Josh Allen, Myles Garrett, Jaxson Smith-Njigba, Matthew Stafford and Ja'Marr Chase as this year's 99 overalls.

McBride called it "an honor" to be included in the "99 club" and it is well deserved after he set the all-time record for tight end receptions last season.

What's in store for McBride in 2026?

McBride will certainly have hefty expectations to live up to after being rated a 99 overall. It'll be difficult to break his own single season catch record of 126 but it won't be impossible.

Arizona is going to be losing a lot this season, meaning that the second half of games will be a lot of air attack, giving more and more opportunities for McBride to haul in catches to chase down his own record.

If McBride is able to compete with and eventually break his own receptions record, he very well may find himself in the "99 club" for many years to come.
