NFL Free Agency continues to produce absolute mayhem, and the Arizona Cardinals are one of those teams who are pressing an “Add” button.
Made public by NFL Network national insider Ian Rapoport, Arizona will sign linebacker Mack Wilson.
“Former [New England] Patriots LB Mack Wilson has agreed to terms with the Cardinals on a 3-year, $12.75 million deal worth up to $15 million,” Rapoport said. “More help on defense.”

To start his career, Wilson was selected by the Cleveland Browns in the fifth round (155th overall) of the 2019 NFL Draft.
While in Ohio, the University of Alabama product played 43 games (28 starts) in three seasons (2019-21). With the Browns, Wilson had one sack, 163 tackles, defended nine passes and captured an interception.
Then on March 16, 2022, Wilson’s tenure in Cleveland was over after a trade to the Patriots in exchange for now-retired defensive end Chase Winovich.
On the Patriots, Wilson played all 17 games throughout the past two seasons (2022-23), starting four times. The 26-year-old recorded five sacks, 73 tackles and forced three fumbles.
With his signature, Wilson will become the Cardinals’ fourth addition during free agency. Today, defensive lineman Justin Jones, defensive tackle Bilal Nichols and cornerback Sean Murphy-Bunting have all agreed to the terms of their proposed contracts with Arizona.
