GLENDALE – The Arizona Cardinals offense didn’t seem to change much this offseason, but that doesn’t waver the confidence of second-year wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. for next season. Harrison spoke to the media on Monday at the Dignity Health Training Center in Tempe, where he discussed last season, the offseason, and his goal moving forward.

Despite not making any significant changes to the offense, Harrison believes the pieces are in place for the team to take the next step in the standings. When asked about his individual goal for next season, the 22-year-old gave a mature answer about his hopes for the team’s success for the fans.

“Improvement for me looks like winning more games than we won last year,” Harrison said. “I want to get a home playoff game for Arizona. I went to the Rams and Vikings game, and I was like, ‘There’s a team playing in the playoffs in our building.’ It didn’t feel right.”

Cardinals Harrison’s full press conference:

To get a home playoff game the Cardinals will need to win the division, which they haven’t done since 2015. However, Harrison has put the work this offseason on his body. The former Buckeye didn’t put a number on how much muscle he gain this offseason, but he visual looks much more imposing since being drafted to Arizona.

While the physical enhancement aids in Harrison’s development, his connection with quarterback Kyler Murray is the most important aspect heading into 2025. The Cardinals wide receiver mentioned that he and Murray have worked in and out of the training facility working on their chemistry so it becomes “natural.”

Harrison used the word “natural” frequently throughout the presser when describing his relationship on the field with Murray. The QB-WR relationship is a delicate balance that takes time to foster, as many of the great duos in history took years for their connection on the field to become unconscious.

Much of the praise this offseason has gone to general manager Monti Ossenfort and his additions to the team’s defense. However, even head coach Jonathan Gannon pointed out weeks ago, Harrison has entered his first full NFL offseason as a seasoned pro and will have a monster sophomore season to fulfill his goal of bringing the playoffs back for the Red Sea.
