The Carolina Panthers' all-time leader in games played is coming back for another season.
long-time long-snapper J.J. Jansen will be returning to the Panthers on a one-year deal, first reported by Joseph Person of The Athletic on Friday afternoon.
It was a decision that was really a no-brainer.
Jansen was supposed to become a free agent next week.
In signing an extension, he will be entering his 16th season with the Panthers. He is the franchise's all-time leader in games played: 243. He hasn't missed a game since 2009.
He has grown up as a member of the Panthers and it looks like he will be spending at least one more season in Charlotte.
