The Carolina Panthers are signing former Alabama defensive lineman LaBryan Ray to the roster for 2026 the team announced.

Ray has spent three seasons in Carolina and appeared in 46 games with 10 starts recording 73 total tackles, one sack and two tackles for loss.

Ray began his career in the NFL signing with the New England Patriots as an undrafted free agent in 2022 where he served on its practice squad. He would later be let go in 2023 and would go on to appear in the USFL with the Philadelphia Stars.

But in later 2023, Ray signed with Carolina where he has been ever since.

Prior to his days in the NFL, Ray played his college days at Alabama where he was from 2017-2021. Ray was a part of the 2017 and 2020 national championship teams but saw a number of his seasons cut short due to significant injuries.

But now Ray has secured a spot on one of the rising teams in the NFC.
