CeeDee Lamb makes big prediction about Micah Parsons situation

Micah Parsons and the Dallas Cowboys remain in a contract standoff with two weeks of training camp in the books, but CeeDee Lamb does not seem all that concerned about the dispute spilling over into the regular season.

Parsons, who is making just over $24M in the final year of his rookie contract this season, publicly requested a trade from the Cowboys on Aug. 1. There have now been questions about whether he will report to work prior to Week 1.

Lamb was asked about the Parsons situation at training camp on Friday. The star wide receiver expressed disappointment in the way it has played out but said he believes Parsons will eventually rejoin the Cowboys.

"I feel like he’s gonna be here. Reaction was crazy. A little disappointed. But it is what it is," Lamb said. "You gotta do what you gotta do, and he’s gotta do what’s best for him and his family.”

Lamb had his own contract issues with the Cowboys a year ago. He eventually signed a four-year, $136M extension prior to the start of the regular season, and he may be expecting the same to happen with Parsons.

The Cowboys seem to have a contract standoff with at least one star player every offseason. That has left many speculating that Jones enjoys the attention that accompanies the disputes. Although star players in Dallas seem annoyed that Parsons' holdout is dominating headlines, most of them believe there will be a resolution prior to the team's Sept. 4 regular-season opener against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Parsons, 26, had 12 sacks in 13 games last season. He has 52.5 sacks in 63 career games and is arguably the best pass-rusher in the NFL when healthy.
