CeeDee Lamb ranks #1 in Cowboys fantasy football
Kevin Jairaj-USA TODAY Sports

It's Mother's Day weekend, and I am just giving you something fun to read. I enjoy fantasy football, and with this being a blog site, I thought maybe I have some other fans who enjoy playing each year too.

Look, this is a fun post on a Saturday that will probably be a slow day.

If you don't want to read it, don't. I don't need your comments.

The only have a few players that are worth a draft selection from you in 2024, but with that said let me dive into who my favorites are and a sleeper on the roster who I think could win you some games in a pinch.

CeeDee Lamb

This is not a surprise, is the best offensive player for the Dallas Cowboys.

He sits alone not only on the Cowboys roster but according to the fantasy experts at ESPN Lamb is the top option among wide receivers this season.

Lamb is coming off one of the most dominant seasons in .

In his breakout campaign, Lamb had a career-high of 1,749 receiving yards and 12 touchdown receptions.

The other four members of the 88 club have never come reasonably close to getting over 1,700 yards in a regular season, while only Dez has had more than 12 touchdown receptions in a regular season (16 in 2014).

Lamb will more than likely be the first taken in this year's draft, unless of course, a Vikings fan has the first pick or the player just hates the Cowboys.

Jake Ferguson

Including the playoffs, Ferguson was second on the Cowboys in targets per game (6.3).

He has become a favorite like Dalton Shultz had before he signed with the Texans last year.

During your draft, if you don't take a guy like Travis Kelce. Mark Andrews, Sam LaPorta, or George Kittle, a guy like Ferg should be around in the late rounds (9 or 10).

He is worth a pick as he will get his fair share of targets. He will only get better than last year.

Dak Prescott

Like him or not, Dak Prescott will be a top-10 fantasy this season.

This offense is going to have to score points with all the depth they lost on .

As long as Lamb gets signed and Brandin Cooks returns with Ferg having another year under the belt, they should be okay.

Zay Jones was in for a visit a few days ago. If Dallas somehow can land him to compete with Jalen Tolbert for WR3 that would be nice.

Depending on how the schedule looks when it is released next Wednesday, this team is either going to struggle early, or late, they have some tough opponents this season outside the division.

Don't Touch Any Running Back

This room is going to be one by committee.

Zeke is on the downside, and Rico Dowdle and others have proven absolutely nothing yet.

If Dallas would have drafted a running back we could have a different conversation, but this running back room may struggle to find a lead back that they can trust every single week.

Riding the hot hand will probably be their best bet in 2024.

If I can get my hands on Lamb or Ferg late I will take him, but I am not touching any Cowboys running back unless it comes on the wavier wire.

Brandin Cooks is going to a possenions WR, and will not provide enough weekly to warrant him staying on a roster.

He could be a plug-and-play if you have a guy on a buy week, but no need to invest a pick in him.
