Chargers' Derwin James was a menace Sunday vs. Cardinals

Los Angeles Chargers Pro Bowl safety Derwin James was everywhere during Sunday's 25-24 victory over the Arizona Cardinals

The 26-year-old finished with eight tackles, an interception, and a forced fumble in the Chargers' come-from-behind win.

With the score still tied 0-0 with 10:38 left in the first quarter, James stripped running back James Conner, helping stymie a Cardinals' drive near midfield.

After the Chargers finally got on the board in the second quarter, cutting an early Cardinals' lead to 10-7, James came away with another clutch turnover.

With 7:11 left in the first half, James made an acrobatic interception of a Kyler Murray fourth-and-one pass intended for DeAndre Hopkins. The Chargers' offense took over, scoring five plays later to take a 14-10 advantage into the halftime break.

James also registered career tackle No. 350 on Sunday. According to NFL Network's Bridget Condon, James is the fastest defensive back to reach the mark in the last 30 years, doing so in only 47 games.

Through 11 games, James has recorded 100 tackles, four sacks, two forced fumbles, and an interception.

While James did his best to make plays on the defensive side of the ball, the Chargers' offense bailed them out late against the Cardinals.

Down 24-17 with 1:33 left in the fourth quarter, quarterback Justin Herbert orchestrated a seven-play, 38-yard drive, culminating with a one-yard touchdown pass to Austin Ekeler.

Los Angeles went for two, and Herbert found Gerald Everett in the endzone to give the Chargers the win.

James and the Chargers snapped a two-game losing streak, improving to 6-5. Next Sunday, they travel to take on AFC West rival, the Las Vegas Raiders.
