Los Angeles Chargers right guard Mekhi Becton has been added to the injury report as questionable for Friday's game against the Kansas City Chiefs due to an illness.

Signed to a two-year, $20 million contract in March, Becton is expected to help protect star quarterback Justin Herbert on a team that already lost star left tackle Rashawn Slater to a season-ending knee injury.

Becton, 26, has started 45 of the 46 career games in which he has played with the Jets and Philadelphia Eagles since being selected by New York with the 11th overall pick of the 2020 NFL Draft.

If he's unable to go, Jamaree Salyer, who has appeared in 51 games and started 35 over the last three seasons for the Chargers, is listed as Becton's backup.
