Adam Schefter and Ian Rapoport report that the Chargers have no interest in trading veteran pass rusher Khalil Mack ahead of the deadline.
“I want Khalil Mack here,” Chargers HC Jim Harbaugh told reporters. “Khalil Mack wants to be here.”
The Chargers remain winless but are reluctant to trade players like Mack, WR Ladd McConkey, and QB Justin Herbert, despite receiving calls on all three.
Mack, 35, is a former first-round pick out of Buffalo, selected by the Raiders in 2014. Mack played out the final year of his four-year, $18,677,002 deal, and the Raiders picked up his fifth-year option.
The Raiders later traded Mack to the Bears in a deal that included two first-round picks. Mack signed a six-year, $141 million extension with Chicago, including $90 million guaranteed.
In 2022, the Chargers acquired Mack in exchange for draft compensation after four seasons in Chicago. After finishing out his contract, Mack re-signed with the Chargers on a one-year, $18 million deal for 2025 and 2026.
In 2026, Mack has appeared in seven games for the Chargers, recording 21 total tackles, five tackles for loss, and three sacks.
