The Los Angeles Chargers created a massive hole on their roster this season. They allowed Mike Williams to go elsewhere as a free agent. They traded Keenan Allen to the Chicago Bears.
Now, they are reaping the hardships of those decisions due to cap space restraints. Quentin Johnston is their projected top wideout after a tumultuous rookie year in 2023. They have just four wideouts in total on the active roster.

That should not come as a surprise. Harbaugh has been a great talent evaluator at every level of football, and simply put, he has eyeballs and a brain. LA currently lacks proven talent and upside at the WR position.
With his tone of voice, you can tell that there is something to be desired at wide receiver for the Chargers right now.
You cannot rule that option out with the fifth overall pick, and the Chargers own the 37th and 69th overall selections in the top 70 picks of the draft. They have plenty of early ammo to attack that need, along with others.
Not to mention, the Chargers will meet with star LSU WR Malik Nabers on Wednesday. He is expected to go in the top ten picks of the first round.
No matter what - Harbaugh won't show his hand completely, but his answer on Tuesday should spark plenty of thoughts into his intentions on improving the wide receiver targets for star QB Justin Herbert.
