Chargers HC Jim Harbaugh Sends 8-Word Message to Justin Herbert in 2025

Justin Herbert has been one of the most polarizing figures in the NFL since his arrival in 2020.

In his first career start, he nearly out dueled Patrick Mahomes in a heated division rivalry against the Kansas City Chiefs.

He would continue his stellar play throughout the rest of his rookie season, earning himself Offensive Rookie of the Year honors.

People became enamored with the seemingly endless ceiling Herbert possessed, but over the last few years that luster has begun to fade.

The entire would knows how talented the Oregon Ducks product is, but they also realize that his lack of success in big games is becoming a trend rather than outliers.

Herbert has appeared in two playoff games which have both ended in disastrous fashion.

His first came a couple seasons ago and it saw him and the Los Angeles Chargers blow a 27-point lead to the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Most recently, Los Angeles played the Houston Texans in the wild card round of the playoffs and despite throwing just three interceptions all season, Herbert tossed four in the postseason game.

With these concerning choke jobs, fans have started to question whether he is really the elite quarterback he appeared to be in his first few seasons.

However, head coach Jim Harbaugh is enamored with the sixth-year man and lets it be known in the media whenever he gets an opportunity.

He recently got interviewed by Colin Cowherd and once again expressed his confidence in his quarterback.

It’s no surprise that Harbaugh loves Herbert and he is constantly hyping him up on the sidelines and after games.

Herbert will need a lot more of this praise in the future to help get him over his playoff woes.
