Chargers head coach Anthony Lynn 'will get more time ... for now'

The Los Angeles Chargers have won just one game this season, causing some to wonder if head coach Anthony Lynn's seat may be warming up due to his arguably poor game-planning and execution. However, ESPN's Dan Graziano and Jeremy Fowler report that people are the league believe he's not in danger of getting fired for the time being.

"While the Chargers appear headed for another disappointing season, the feeling around the league is that Lynn will get more time ... for now," they reported. "The organization loves Lynn, and he hasn't lost the locker room."

The Chargers have been among the most disappointing teams this season, blowing double-digit leads multiple times, including a second-half meltdown on "Monday Night Football" against the New Orleans Saints. Lynn has faced criticism for failing to maximize the play of quarterback Justin Herbert, who has far surpassed expectations as a rookie.

Still, it seems general manager Tom Telesco is giving Lynn the opportunity to prove he is the man for the job. And while he is in danger of his second-straight losing season with the Chargers, the team has been absolutely decimated by injuries and Lynn has had to make the most of what he's been given to work with. But if the Chargers are unable to turn their season around, Lynn may not be their coach for much longer.

"A second consecutive season as a non-contender could force the organization's hand, especially as it tries to drum up interest from the Los Angeles fan base," Graziano and Fowler wrote.
