The Los Angeles Chargers continue to add to their coaching staff. Their latest move is a familiar addition for their offense.
The Chargers are bringing back Shane Day as their quarterbacks coach. He was their QB coach in 2021-2022.

Day is a big fan of Justin Herbert, and Herbert also supports Day. Jim Harbaugh made sure to go get a coach that respects his QB and vice versa. Makes plenty of sense.
During his previous tenure with Los Angeles, Day made a statement that will turn heads. He said that he had a folder on his computer dedicated to Herbert's top plays.
"I have this huge folder on my computer] called 'Why Justin's the greatest quarterback of all time," Day says. "It's like 67 plays. If I've had a bad day, I just watch that."

Herbert threw for 5,014 yards in 2021 with Day on staff. It's clear that he had a positive effect on the Chargers star quarterback, and the new staff hopes that they can reignite that relationship. Not to mention, Day was the senior offensive assistant with the Houston Texans this past season. We all know how impressive rookie QB C.J. Stroud was in 2023. Now, that presence joins Los Angeles for another stint.
