The Los Angeles Chargers enjoyed a welcome return this past weekend as they continue training camp endeavors with plenty of new faces on both sides of the football.
Chargers defensive back Elijah Molden has made his return from injury. Los Angeles activated him from the active/PUP list Sunday, according to Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston. He's back at practice for training camp.

The Chargers safety passed a physical in order to be cleared for a return to action.
Molden underwent offseason knee surgery, and the Chargers did not want to rush him back. The coaching staff remained confident that he would be ready to return prior to the season, and that idea came to fruition this past weekend for Jim Harbaugh's team. Molden's role in 2025 is one to keep an eye on for the Chargers.
The DB will compete for defensive snaps for Los Angeles once again this season. Molden totaled 75 tackles, seven passes defensed, three interceptions, and two fumble recoveries last season for the Bolts. Molden has NFL experience in the slot, but Tarheeb Still is projected to start there for LA.
Still emerged as a dynamic piece to the secondary last season, but it remains to be seen if he can stack successful campaigns on top of one another. Not to mention, injuries are always a part of the game of football, so having depth is critical to success.
As for the safety spot, Derwin James and Alohi Gilman headline those two starting spots, but Molden is the third safety on the depth chart. No matter what, Molden provides versatility and depth for a Chargers defensive unit that could use even more of that in the secondary.
