The Los Angeles Chargers moved to 7-3 on the season with a 25-10 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers on "Sunday Night Football."
Quarterback Justin Herbert went 20-of-33 for 220 yards with a touchdown, and the L.A. defense gave Pittsburgh a hard time all game long.
The Chargers are one game behind the Denver Broncos for first place in the AFC West, and they hold the No. 5 seed in the AFC.
Herbert has been stellar once again, throwing for 2,610 yards with 19 touchdowns and eight interceptions. The Chargers have been without star tackle Rashawn Slater for the year and are without tackle Joe Alt for the season as well.
On Thursday, Herbert shared some news regarding a partnership.
He partnered with KIND Snacks in an effort with Paws For Life K9.
"Spent the day with some incredible dogs @pawsforlifek9 who’ve been waiting a little longer for their forever homes. A reminder that kindness starts small and can make a big difference! Proud to partner with @kindsnacks and CHOOSE KIND this World Kindness Day and beyond. #KINDPartner," Herbert wrote on Instagram.
The company kicked off the "CHOOSE KIND" campaign on World Kindness Day, which is Thursday.
TV personality Dylan Efron and chef/TV host Kristen Kish also participated in the launch. Efron went to a senior citizen center to surprise the residents, and Kish visited a youth center to offer a snack and mentor.
Herbert also spoke about the new partnership.
"Kindness is something I try to carry with me on and off the field," Herbert said via the official release. "Whether it's encouraging a teammate, signing an autograph for a young fan, or taking time to give back to the community, those small gestures can make a real difference.
"I'm proud to join KIND in the CHOOSE KIND movement to inspire others to look for those everyday opportunities to lift people up and create change," Herbert added.
The Paws For Life K9 Rescue is what Herbert is representing, and it is an organization that offers training and rehabilitation to shelter dogs.
