Chargers sign Keenan Allen to four-year extension worth more than $80 million

Keenan Allen has established himself as one of the NFL's best wide receivers, and now he's being paid as such.

According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the Los Angeles Chargers have signed Allen to a four-year extension worth more than $80 million.

Although his rookie year in 2013 was impressive, the years following weren't kind to the University of California product. In 2015, he appeared in just eight games, and in 2016 he tore his ACL in the season opener.

Since then, he's made the Pro Bowl in three consecutive seasons — 2017, 2018 and 2019 — racking up over 1,100 yards in each of those seasons.

The 28-year-old becomes the Chargers' second-biggest signing of the offseason. L.A. recently signed Joey Bosa to a massive five-year, $135 million contract as well.
