Los Angeles Chargers linebacker Khalil Mack suffered an injury during his team’s Monday game against the Las Vegas Raiders after getting his arm twisted in gruesome fashion.
Mack got hurt while trying to stop a run play in the final minute of the first quarter at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada. Mack and linebacker Troy Dye collided while trying to contain the rushing Tre Tucker. As Tucker got past both defenders, Mack’s arm got bent at an awkward angle, leaving the Chargers star in serious pain.
The Chargers initially listed Mack as questionable with a wrist/hand injury. However, a few online experts indicated that Mack’s injury looked more like an elbow dislocation.
Khalil Mack left elbow subluxation/dislocation. Hard to return today but can in coming weeks with brace. No surgery despite torn elbow ligaments. To xray to rule out radial head fracture pic.twitter.com/nh9pFc7E5q

Mack entered the medical tent and later emerged wearing a sling around his heavily wrapped left elbow.

Losing Mack for an extended period of time would be a huge blow for the Chargers. The 34-year-old has been one of the best linebackers in the NFL for over a decade, with nine Pro Bowl nods and three first-team All-Pro distinctions.
Mack was named a Pro Bowler in each of his first three years with the Chargers. It’ll be a challenge for him to make it four this season if he has to miss any time.
