Chargers, WR Mike Williams agree to three-year, $60 million contract

One of the biggest deep threats in the NFL is staying with the Los Angeles Chargers.

Williams was selected seventh overall by the Chargers in 2017 and is coming off a 2021 season in which he set career-highs in targets (129), receptions (76) and receiving yards (1,146). Williams led the high-powered Los Angeles offense in receiving yards and receiving touchdowns (nine), while trailing only Keenan Allen in targets and receptions.

The 27-year-old also paced quarterback Justin Herbert's receiving crew in yards per reception (15.1) and receiving yards per game (71.6.)

The Chargers figure to be among the most electric offenses in the league again in 2022, backed by Herbert, Allen, Williams and dynamic pass-catching running back Austin Ekeler, among others.
