Charles Omenihu just sent a loud warning to the rest of the NFL

The Kansas City Chiefs defense was on cruise control during the 2023 season but fans would be lying if they said they weren't nervous when Charles Omenihu was hurt right before the Super Bowl. While the villains of the NFL went on to win the Super Bowl anyway, not having Omenihu for the majority of the 2024 season definitely hurt.

When Omenihu returned at the end of the regular season, fans were elated to see him pick up where he left off. Omenihu appeared in six regular season games, tallying six tackles and one sack. He ramped things up during the playoffs, racking up nine tackles and adding another sack to his résumé.

Omenihu elected to return to Kansas City on a one-year deal to continue to ball out for a Super Bowl contende and the hope is that he can do just that. The pass-rusher recently posted a video on his social media of a workout he did that shows him doing a 50 inch box jump.

The caption reads: "Seated 33in hurdle jump to a 50in box jump. Yeah I’m back.." Considering that Omenihu tore his ACL a year and a half ago and is now able to pull off a workout like this should send a message that he is ready to wreak havoc on the league once again.

Charles Omenihu's latest social media post should care opposing NFL teams

Omenihu was at his best during the 2023 season, notching seven sacks in the regular season and adding another one in the playoffs before he was injured. It was a blow to the defense not to have him out there but fortunately, the Chiefs persevered and still won the whole dang thing.

Now that Omenihu is fully healthy, the hope is that the Chiefs defense can get back to being that fierce unit once again. Pairing him with Chris Jones and George Karlaftis is simply not fair for the rest of the league.
