Losing running back D’Andre Swift for Sunday’s week 9 game against the Bengals is a major blow to the Chicago Bears offense. Swift has been dealing with nagging injuries for the last few weeks and it’s fair to give Swift a week to get healthy.

Roschon Johnson is also out for Sunday’s game due to a back injury. This leaves the only available running back to be Kyle Monangai and Travis Homer. Monangai will likely have the bulk of the carries, while Homer is usually just used on special teams.
To add some more depth to fill in for Swift, the Bears have elevated a preseason standout from the practice squad ahead of Sunday’s game.

According to Bears writer Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune, the team will be bringing in the practice squad running back for Sunday.
#Bears elevated RB Brittain Brown from the practice squad for Sunday’s game. He’s appeared in 6 games in his career – all in 2022 with Las Vegas and all snaps on special teams.

The former Las Vegas Raider has not appeared in a regular season game in three seasons. He appeared in six games with the Raiders in 2022, all on special teams.
Brown had an impressive showing during preseason, doing well enough to earn a spot on the practice squad. He will definitely get some carries behind Monangai against the Bengals.
