The Chicago Bears enter Week 7 hot off a three-game winning streak. The Bears are 3-2, and have a chance to stay in the playoff hunt with a favorable schedule for the next several weeks.

On Sunday, the Bears will host the 1-5 New Orleans Saints. Chicago should easily win this game, as New Orleans is a hot mess in head coach Kellen Moore’s first season.

The Saints lone win came in Week 5 over the New York Giants, when Jaxson Dart made his second-career start.

The Chicago Bears were given a warning

However, Dan Wiederer of The Athletic has a warning for Bears fans. Chicago has lost their last eight contests against New Orleans.

“Overall, New Orleans has won eight in a row in this series,” Wiederer wrote. “The Bears’ last victory over the Saints came way back in December 2008. That was a month before Barack Obama’s first term as president began. That was five Bears head coaches ago.

Kyle Orton was the starting quarterback that day, slinging passes to Greg Olsen and Brandon Lloyd in an overtime game that ended with Robbie Gould’s 35-yard field goal.”

Remember Kyle Orton? That was a few failed first-round quarterbacks ago with some change.

The Bears are in a better spot against the Saints than they have been in recent history. Drew Brees is no longer wearing gold and black.

Chicago has the advantage at quarterback in this game, as Caleb Williams is the guy who replaced the Saints starting quarterback Spencer Rattler when the two played under head coach Lincoln Riley at Oklahoma.

It’s time for this streak to end.

Vegas thinks so, too.

Per ESPN BET, the Bears are 4.5-point favorites to knock off New Orleans and improve to 4-2.
