More news: Chicago Bears HC Ben Johnson sends warning to Caleb Williams about turnovers
Bears head coach Ben Johnson is getting the team ready to travel to play the Philadelphia Eagles on Friday. The contest will be a battle between 8-3 NFC teams.
On Monday, Johnson spoke to reporters after having a chance to review the tape. He commented on a harsh hit Steelers cornerback took on Caleb Williams while the quarterback was about to run out of bounds after converting a fourth down in the second quarter.

Ramsey gave Williams a harsh shove.
Disgusting play by Jalen Ramsey, Caleb clearly indicates he’s going out of bounds and has given himself up.

Ramsey’s shove prompted a fight on the Bears sideline.

Johnson suggested Williams needed to get of bounds earlier. However, he thought Ramsey’s action prompted a “spark” from Chicago.
“Want to get Caleb out of bounds just a little bit sooner,” Johnson said. “But the crazy thing is, when things like that happen, it almost ignites your sideline even more. It was a completely legal hit; he was in-bounds.
“But at the same time, just to see the whole sideline come to life, I think it kind of adds another spark there to your offense and really the whole team.”
Seven plays later, the Bears tied the game up after Williams hit rookie tight end Colston Loveland for a 12-yard touchdown pass.
It was a learning moment for Williams. He could have been injured by trying to gain a few extra yards.
Williams used his legs successfully on Sunday, rushing four times for 21 yards.
Fortunately, the overzealousness of Ramsey came back to bite the Steelers in the butt.
