Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is doing all he can to return to play the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field on Sunday after suffering a slight break in his left hand in Week 11.

Rodgers takes pride in besting the Bears.
One added level of intrigue for the matchup is that second-year quarterback Caleb Williams named Rodgers as one of his heroes when he spoke to the media during the 2024 NFL Scouting Combine.
Williams appreciates Rogers’ temperament and wanted to emulate his playing style.
On Wednesday, Bears head coach Ben Johnson was asked by Nicholas Moreano of Marquee Sports Network if there were any comparisons between the two quarterbacks before Sunday’s matchup.

Johnson had a brutal reality check for Williams, suggesting Rodgers still plays the position at a much higher level than the No. 1 pick in the 2024 draft.
“Um, yeah, I’d probably, probably not right now,” Johnson said. “You know, I think he’s (Rodgers) elite right now at getting the ball out of his hands. I think he’s got the, if he doesn’t have the fastest snap to throw time in the league right now, he’s got to be close. So, he’s doing a really good job of spinning it out, he’s accurate.
“I think our guy is the same way, but we probably hold on to it a little bit more. Just where we are in the offense, as we are learning and growing, I think we will gravitate more towards getting it out faster the more reps we have. But, yeah, the guy has done it like I said at a high level for a long time, so it’s a good guy to look up to.”
Caleb Williams has expressed his appreciation for Aaron Rodgers' game in the past.
I asked Ben Johnson if he sees any similarities between Williams and Rodgers and how they play the QB position.

Ouch.
Williams will have a chance to prove his head coach wrong on Sunday.
Williams’ stats are arguably better than Rodgers’ this season. Williams has thrown for 2,329 yards, 13 touchdowns, and four interceptions. But he’s only completed 59.7 percent of his passes.
Rodgers, a four-time NFL MVP and Super Bowl champion, has completed 66.4 percent of his passes for 1,969 yards, 19 touchdowns, and seven interceptions.
