The Chicago Bears have released their official inactive list for Sunday Night Football against the Green Bay Packers. The list includes the already downgraded Akiem Hicks in surprising fashion . It also includes quarterback Andy Dalton.
Ryan Nall, Teez Tabor, Marquise Goodwin, and Jesper Horsted round out the inactive list. This also means that Nick Foles will be the backup quarterback to Justin Fields, who recently returned from a rib injury.
Andy Dalton was originally listed as doubtful earlier in the week. According to reporters, Dalton was spotted keeping his hand inside the pouch of his sweatshirt. However, he did not remove it the entire time which led to speculation about a potential injury. Now, according to Ian Rapoport, we have confirmation that Dalton has a small broken bone in his hand.
#Bears QB Andy Dalton, listed as doubtful, won’t play due to a broken small bone on the top of his hand, source said. No surgery, so it should heal in a week, at which point Dalton would resume backing up rookie Justin Fields.

Naturally, a broken bone, big or small, will sideline anyone, especially a quarterback.
The Bears’ inactive players include a crucial piece in Akiem Hicks and the backup quarterback Andy Dalton. The Bears received a healthy Allen Robinson back ahead of this game with Green Bay. They will need every aspect of their game firing on all cylinders. The healthy players must deliver and if they hope to have any chance of beating the Packers, they need them all.
