Chicago Bears Linebacker Doesn't Care About Team's Struggles in 2022
Kamil Krzaczynski-USA TODAY Sports

Confidence can be contagious, and Chicago Bears linebacker DeMarcus Walker is radiating it. Meeting with the media on Tuesday after day two of Bears minicamp, Walker made it clear that he is intent on putting Chicago's 2022 struggles in the rearview mirror and fully is f ully embracing the fresh start that this new team brings.

Walker boldly declared, "This is the 2023 Chicago Bears. We have a whole new identity, a revamped offense, and a revitalized defense." The sheer audacity of his statements reflects a team-wide mindset that holds immense promise.

Personally, I love the fact this Bears team seems to have this mentality. Just yesterday, Walker's teammate defensive lineman Justin Jones stirred Chicago faithful up with some choice words about the Green Bay Packers, and their fans during his media session.

Walker wasn't done there though. He said he wanted to be a motivator to not only himself but also to his teammates in a rather profane manner.

There is a ton of optimism amongst the fanbase about the 2023 Chicago Bears. Walker's conference injects fuel into the already burning fire of anticipation. Let's hope that his confidence is well-founded and that this year's team will indeed rise above the shortcomings of the past.
