
The Chicago Bears offensive line have been exceeding expectations throughout the season. Both the pass blocking and run blocking have been a key part to the offense’s success.

One of the biggest success stories for the offensive line is Darnell Wright. The surging right tackle ranks sixth among all offensive linemen on Pro Football Focus with an overall grade of 82. Wright also ranks second in the NFL on run blocking with a very impressive grade of 87.3
The Bears’ right tackle went viral for a really athletic block he made during Week 9’s 47-42 win over the Cincinnati Bengals. Wright now has gotten major praise from a legendary two time All-Pro lineman.

The legendary former Las Angeles Rams player had major praise over an impressive block Wright made. Wright made a block on Bengals rookie Shemar Stewart on a 4th and 1 play, where he straight up leveled the Bengals rookie.
Whitworth said on his podcast with veteran quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick that Wright’s block will be a “top five on his highlight reel for the rest of his career”

The four time pro bowl and two time all-pro lineman also praised Wright, stating he will be playing in the league for a very long time.
It’s great seeing Wright get the respect he deserves. With how well he’s playing, he’s on the verge to be a pro bowl player for the Bears.
