The Kansas City Chiefs have acquired a veteran linebacker in a trade with the New England Patriots.
Joshua Uche was traded to the Chiefs on Monday in exchange for a 2026 sixth-round draft pick, according to multiple reports.

The Patriots drafted Uche in the second round out of Michigan in 2020. He has two sacks through seven games this season and had three sacks in 15 games a year ago. Uche’s best season was in 2022, when he had 11.5 sacks and two forced fumbles in 15 games for New England.
Kansas City is the only undefeated team remaining in the NFL following its 27-20 win over the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday. Despite that, the Chiefs are clearly still looking for ways to improve ahead of the Nov. 5 trade deadline.
Uche could prove to be a nice addition to the Chiefs’ defense if the 26-year-old plays to his potential.
