Andy Reid and the Kansas City Chiefs couldn't get above .500 in Week 5 of the 2025 NFL season, falling to Liam Coen and the Jacksonville Jaguars on Monday. Patrick Mahomes was able to guide the Chiefs to a go-ahead touchdown in the final two minutes, but their defense couldn't stop Trevor Lawrence in the ensuing drive. Now, the Chiefs look to get back on track in Week 6 as they host Jared Goff and the Detroit Lions.

The Chiefs have been without wide receiver Rashee Rice for the first five games as he serves a six-game suspension. They were also without Xavier Worthy for a couple of games after he collided with Travis Kelce in Week 1 and suffered a dislocated shoulder. Worthy returned in Week 4 against the Baltimore Ravens but gave fans a scare when he was suddenly listed as questionable before being cleared to play against the Jaguars.

Despite Worthy's injury scare, the Chiefs were mostly healthy in Week 5 against Jacksonville. Only two key players were missing from Monday's game due to injury: defensive tackle Omarr Norman-Lott, dealing with a shoulder injury, and cornerback Kristian Fulton, recovering from an ankle issue.

On Wednesday, the Chiefs announced that everyone, even those listed on the injury report for Week 6 against the Lions, was a full participant in practice. Those included Mahomes (groin), Hollywood Brown (ankle) and Jawaan Taylor (knee), along with the three previously mentioned injured players.

Despite being healthy, the Chiefs face another tough challenge in Week 6. The Lions boast one of the NFL’s top offenses, averaging 365.0 yards per game, and have been relentless on defense with 16 sacks this season, the second-most in the league.

The Chiefs will host the Lions in Week 6's edition of "Sunday Night Football" at 8:20 p.m. ET on NBC and Peacock.
