Andy Reid and the Kansas City Chiefs dropped a fifth-straight game in Week 17, falling to 6-10 on the 2025 NFL season after a 20-13 loss to Bo Nix and the Denver Broncos . Now, the Chiefs will look to end the drought in their Week 18 season finale, hitting the road to face Geno Smith and the Las Vegas Raiders.

Kansas City has been without star quarterback Patrick Mahomes since Week 14, when he tore his ACL in a loss to the Los Angeles Chargers , sidelining him for the remainder of the season and potentially the start of next year. The Chiefs’ injury report continued to grow ahead of Week 18, with other key players listed as well, including wideout Xavier Worthy (illness) and guard Trey Smith (ankle).

With the Chiefs shorthanded at several positions for the AFC West matchup against the Raiders, they were forced to make additions to the active roster. And on Saturday, Kansas City revealed that wide receivers Jimmy Holiday and Jason Brownlee were activated from the practice squad for the regular-season finale.

Holiday finished his college career with 913 receiving yards and five touchdowns across stops at Tennessee, Western Kentucky and Louisiana Tech. He went undrafted in 2025 before being picked up by Kansas City, was cut in late November and spent a brief stint with the Seattle Seahawks before returning to the Chiefs’ practice squad. The matchup against the Raiders will mark his first NFL action.

Brownlee spent the majority of his college career at Southern Mississippi before signing with the New York Jets as an undrafted free agent in 2023. He appeared in seven games with New York, recording five catches for 56 yards and a touchdown. Brownlee signed with Kansas City in early 2025 and has since appeared in five games.

"The Chiefs elevated WRs Jimmy Holiday and Jason Brownlee from the practice squad for the Week 18 regular-season finale vs. the Raiders," A to Z Sports' Charles Goldman wrote on X. "Las Vegas elevated LB Jamin Davis and OT Dalton Wagner."

The Chiefs will take on the Raiders on Sunday at 4:25 p.m. ET before facing an offseason that could bring plenty of change to Kansas City.
