Chiefs at Center of Blunt Admission by Eagles Star

By the time the Philadelphia Eagles went up 34-0 in Super Bowl LIX, the tone was clear — this wasn’t going to be a thriller.

And for veteran pass rusher Brandon Graham, it wasn’t just dominant football — it was flat-out funny. During a Wednesday appearance on "Up & Adams" with Kay Adams, the longtime Eagles leader made a surprisingly blunt admission: players on the sideline were laughing midgame at how badly the Kansas City Chiefs were getting beaten.

“I was laughing,” Graham said. “We were on the sideline trying to hold it in.”

It was a telling comment from the 15-year vet, who played his final NFL game that night in New Orleans. And given the circumstances, it’s easy to understand why.

Philadelphia exploded out of the gate, building a 24-0 lead by halftime and pushing it to 34-0 before Kansas City finally found the end zone. Jalen Hurts delivered a masterclass performance with 221 passing yards, three total touchdowns, and just five incompletions, earning Super Bowl MVP honors.

The defense, led by coordinator Vic Fangio, smothered Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs all game. Philadelphia forced multiple turnovers, logged six sacks, and got a pick-six from rookie corner Cooper DeJean to cap off the blowout.

Kansas City entered the game with hopes of securing a historic third straight Super Bowl title. Instead, they were overwhelmed on the sport’s biggest stage.

For Brandon Graham, the dominant win served as the perfect ending to a legendary run in Philadelphia. He officially retired on March 18 after 15 seasons, two Super Bowl championships, and 76.5 career sacks — the third-most in franchise history.

His final memory in uniform? Sharing sideline laughter as his team ran away with the title.
