The Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills will battle at Arrowhead in the AFC Championship game, with a spot in the Super Bowl on the line.
Patrick Mahomes and his AFC West-dominating franchise are into their seventh straight AFC title game, while the AFC East bullies in Buffalo are into the first AFC title game with Josh Allen since 2020, ironically, losing to the Chiefs.
With the Bills seemingly a "different" team this season, with Allen playing at an MVP level, for some, this is the time that Josh slays the bogeyman.
However, CBS Sports' Cody Benjamin finds that the Chiefs' aura with No. 15 is hard to ignore.
"The heart says Josh Allen finally rides a balanced lineup to the biggest stage, but the head says Patrick Mahomes refuses to let it happen, somehow, some way," Benjamin writes.
The Chiefs and Mahomes have made life hell for Allen and Buffalo in the postseason, winning all three games to end the Bills season each time.
But Buffalo is 4-0 in the last four regular-season games against Kansas City and is the only team this season to beat the Chiefs when their starters were playing.
So there are a few storylines to watch here: Mahomes and the Chiefs look to make it to a third successive Super Bowl, and Allen his first. Both teams match up well on both sides of the ball, and neither turns the football over.
This one, as expected, will come down to the wire, and in close games in the playoffs, are you really going to bet against No. 15?
