Per Adam Teicher of ESPN, Reid didn't disclose a timetable for Sneed's return to the lineup.
Kansas City selected Sneed in the fourth round of this year's draft, and the 23-year-old quickly became a defensive mainstay with Bashaud Breeland serving a four-game suspension for an alleged unspecified violation of the NFL's substance abuse policy. After three games, Sneed was tied with three others for the league lead in interceptions with two.
The Chiefs host the New England Patriots (2-1) on Sunday.
