The NFL and NBC made a polarizing choice in putting the Kansas City Chiefs-Miami Dolphins wildcard matchup on Saturday night at Arrowhead Stadium, airing the game exclusively on NBC’s Peacock streaming service. It was a decision that irked Chiefs defensive end Charles Omenihu.
So he took matters into his own hands, giving away 90 subscriptions to fans ahead of the weekend. He solicited fans to explain their case for a login on social media, picking the winners on Friday.
“Alright Chiefs Kingdom, I saw the comments and want y’all to be able to watch us play…So, I’m giving away 90 3-month Peacock memberships!” Omenihu, who wears No. 90, said.

At $6 monthly for three months, across 90 people, Omenihu is on the hook for around $1620 for the giveaway. Certainly a manageable price tag for an NFL player and worth it for Omenihu to help some fans catch the game.
Just how cold is it at Arrowhead Stadium for the start of the Dolphins-Chiefs game? Well, it’s so cold that a fan showed us how his bottle of water froze as soon as he took it out of the fridge.
Yes, you read that correctly. Water bottle taken from the fridge turned to ice almost immediately. Take a look at the video shared by Brendan Marquart. No wonder fans suggested he switch to beer.

There are some crazy scenes coming from Arrowhead.
It’s unclear how big the crowd will be for a game guaranteed to be one of the chilliest in NFL history. It’s not Frozen Tundra cold, but it’s definitely Lambeau adjacent. Temperatures are supposed to be about zero degrees (Fahrenheit, not Celsius) at kickoff. In fact, the Weather Channel says it’s currently minus 3 at its weather station with a feel-like temperature of negative 21.
Reporters from Pro Football Talk posted photos of the windows at some of the Arrowhead suites. Let’s just say it’s going to be difficult to see the action live from the field. That’s because there’s ice coating the windows.

You know what this means? Taylor Swift might not be able to see her beau, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. The international pop superstar rolled up to Arrowhead an hour or so before the game. And there’s no question who she is here to see. She was wearing a No. 87 Chiefs jacket.
