Chiefs fans know that Raiders competition will end terribly no matter what

Laughing at the Las Vegas Raiders is a favorite past time for Kansas City Chiefs fans, especially now that the Chiefs are winning Super Bowls and the Raiders are... well, not winning Super Bowls (and not even coming close to doing so). Training camp provides yet another opportunity to laugh at the Raiders because their secondary has some red flags for sure.

That's what Ryan McFadden of ESPN said in a recent article highlighting the Raiders' biggest position battle this summer, which he said was cornerback. After discussing how Eric Stokes has been taking first-team reps and Darien Porter and Decamerion Richardson have split first-team reps, McFadden said the position still has plenty of question marks.

"This position group is far from being solidified, and even though coach Pete Carroll has given the secondary a ton of praise, there are a few red flags. Stokes has played a full season just twice in his four-year career. Meanwhile, Porter has upside but has started in only seven career college games at cornerback."

Raiders secondary has "a few red flags" and it could only get worse

Obviously the Raiders having issues in their secondary bodes well for Kansas City, as the Chiefs will face off against their AFC West foe twice, as is tradition. While Patrick Mahomes and the K.C. offense haven't been as high-flying in recent years, we all know that Mahomes can expose a weak secondary and if the names we have to worry about are the ones mentioned in McFadden's write-up, then the advantage goes to the Chiefs there.

As McFadden mentioned, Stokes has battled injuries during his four-year career and Porter doesn't have a lot of starting experience at cornerback. The Raiders are betting that these two guys will pan out for them in starting roles and if neither do for whatever reason, it's just going to be that much more entertaining for Chiefs fans.
