The Kansas City Chiefs barely managed to keep their undefeated season alive in Week 10, as they grinded out a 16-14 win over the Denver Broncos. And if it weren't for Leo Chenal blocking a potential game-winning field goal from Wil Lutz as time expired, there's a decent chance the Chiefs would have lost their first game of the year.

Bo Nix put the Broncos in position to win this game by setting Lutz up with a chip shot 35-yard field goal. Their field goal protection unit did not hold up, though, as Chenal and company broke through the line and easily managed to block the kick, ensuring that they would win their ninth game of the season.

It was a big day all around for Chenal, who also racked up four tackles on the day in addition to his game-saving block. As a result, Chenal ended up being awarded AFC Special Teams Player of the Week for his strong outing against the Broncos.

Chenal has seen a slight uptick in his role on the Chiefs defense this year, as he's played 45 percent of the team's snaps on that side of the ball through their first nine games. However, he's remained an impactful special teams player, as he's been on the field for 67 percent of those snaps.

He may not always make flashy plays, but Chenal does precisely what's asked of him by the Chiefs coaching staff, and it paid off for him with this signature play, and not to mention, a nice award to go along with it.

With this solid performance under his belt, Chenal has now racked up 33 tackles, three passes deflected, two fumbles forced, and a sack through his first nine games of the season. And with a lot of positive momentum going his way, he could keep on making big plays throughout the remainder of the season.

While Chenal and the Chiefs are certainly pumped to have gotten this win, they will have to turn the page quickly, as they have a huge contest against the Buffalo Bills staring them in the face in Week 11.
