Chiefs' Kareem Hunt Bullish On 'Good Shot' Super Bowl Odds

The Kansas City Chiefs came so close to claiming a historic three-peat in 2024, only to fall at the final hurdle, and they didn't land gently; they fell to the ground with a thud.

The 40-22 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles was a mauling in every sense, and the franchise now has to pick itself up and go again in 2025.

Several new players have come in, while others like Joe Thuney and Justin Reid have moved on, and the franchise has retained the services of several players, one being running back Kareem Hunt.

Coming off the couch last season, Hunt rose to be Andy Reid's go-to guy in the backfield with Isiah Pacheco injured, and even when "Pop" returned, Hunt was still "the" guy.

But Kareem was a free agent before the Chiefs came calling again, and while 2024 didn't end the way the franchise wanted, Hunt knows that the team is still among the contenders in 2025.

"The culture is just great," Hunt said. "It didn't end the way we wanted it to. But we've got a lot of work to do -- and I feel like we've got another good shot at it."

Yes, the Super Bowl loss was brutal, but for many, it doesn't take the shine of who the Chiefs are, and with so many credits in the bank after back-to-back Super Bowl wins and making it to a third, it is no wonder why few are writing off Reid's team just yet.

With Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, Chris Jones, and others, the Chiefs still have a nucleus of talent that is the envy of the NFL, and under Reid, they just know how to win.

So, while some think the 2025 season will see the Chiefs slide back into the chasing pack, we aren't ready to write them off just yet, and we align ourselves with Kareem in thinking Kansas City has a good shot at glory this upcoming season.
