The Kansas City Chiefs entered the 2025 season with high expectations, but the year unfolded in a challenging way. A host of injuries, none more devastating than Patrick Mahomes’ ACL and LCL tears, coupled with offensive struggles contributed to a 6-11 regular-season record, the franchise’s first non-playoff finish in over a decade.
Despite the team’s struggles, one constant on the Chiefs’ roster was the play of center Creed Humphrey, who continued to anchor one of the league’s most respected offensive lines at a difficult position.
Humphrey, a second-round pick by Kansas City in the 2021 NFL Draft, has been a starter since his rookie season and entered 2025 with a reputation for durability, technique, and reliability in pass protection.
Over his first five NFL seasons, he started every regular-season game, continuing a streak of consecutive starts that has made him a centerpiece of the franchise’s offensive front.
As the league announced the 2026 Pro Bowl rosters, the Chiefs confirmed on Saturday that Humphrey was selected to the AFC roster, marking his first Pro Bowl selection in his career. He joins defensive tackle Chris Jones, tight end Travis Kelce and guard Trey Smith as Chiefs players honored this season.
Humphrey’s 2025 performance also earned him First-Team All-Pro honors for the second straight year, a rare accolade for a player at his position, and he is a finalist for the NFL’s inaugural Protector of the Year Award, designed to recognize elite offensive linemen.
At 26 years old, Humphrey has become a cornerstone of the Chiefs’ offensive identity and will remain crucial to their rebounding efforts in 2026.
