The Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles faced off in Super Bowl LIX, where the winner is set to take home the Lombardi Trophy.
While the Chiefs entered the game with extensive experience, they were dominated right out of the gate.
Kansas City headed into the locker room at halftime up 24-0 and the Eagles kept their foot on the gas in the second half.
During the second half, the Chiefs added salt to the wound. They announced an injury to defensive tackle Chris Jones. He left the game with a knee injury and was doubtful to return late in the second half.

Jones is one of the cornerstones of the Chiefs' dynasty in the last decade. He's helped Kansas City compete in their fifth Super Bowl over the past six years.
While Jones and the Chiefs were looking to make NFL history, attempting to win their third straight Super Bowl after hoisting the Lombardi Trophy in 2022 and 2023, they met their match.
Jones entered the game having recorded one sack and five tackles throughout the postseason. He also posted one forced fumble, five sacks and 37 tackles throughout the regular season.
During his time with the Chiefs, from 2016 to 2024, Jones has been named a three-time Super Bowl champion, three-time All-Pro and six-time Pro Bowler.
