Chiefs' Pacheco Reveals 'Anger vs. Awesome' Emotions In Injury Return

The Kansas City Chiefs kept rolling in their 19-17 win over the Las Vegas Raiders at Arrowhead Stadium and while some might find positive things hard to come by in the game, one was the return of running back Isiah Pacheco.

Having not been sighted since Week 2 against the Cincinnati Bengals after picking up a leg injury, Pacheco, who the Chiefs have been careful with in his rehab, returned in the Week 13 clash against the Raiders.

The ovation the running back got from the Chiefs crowd would no doubt have meant a lot to the two-time Super Bowl champ as he finally returned to doing the thing he loves.

But what were his thoughts on his first game in over two months?

"It felt awesome, just having that moment to get that contact again, I've been missing it," Pacheco said. "I've been backed up on anger, so being able to let that anger out on the field, it was a blessing."

Of course, head coach Andy Reid and the other coaches had Pacheco on a pitch count, given his long absence. He totaled just seven carries for 44 yards in the win over the Raiders.

It will be a period of ramp-up for Pacheco as he looks to become the Chiefs' lead back again, and his partner in crime, Kareem Hunt, did a superb job holding down the fort in his absence.

Now, the two backs will look to form a dangerous duo out of the backfield as the Chiefs aim for a historic three-peat.

But that doesn't occupy Pacheco's mind; he's just happy to be back playing football.
