Chiefs Player Issues Official Warning To Rest Of The NFL

It's been a long time since we've seen Rashee Rice on the field for the Kansas City Chiefs. And if fans can remain patient, the former SMU star believes it'll be worth the wait.

Rice went down with a season-ending knee injury in Week 4 of last year following a breakout rookie season for the back-to-back Super Bowl champs in 2023.

The 25-year-old quickly became one of Patrick Mahomes' favorite targets behind All-Pro tight end Travis Kelce. And now returning to a lineup that has seen the emergence of Xavier Worthy and the return of Hollywood Brown has Rice feeling great about the Chiefs' offense this fall and beyond.

"We got a lot of guys," Rice said, via KPRC 2 News in Houston. "We are deep in depth in the wide receiver group. We're going to be explosive this year. We're just excited to put on a show to be honest. We know it's gonna be a show. Only thing in the way right now is time, so we're just waiting patiently."

Kansas City opens the season against the division rival Chargers in Brazil in Week 1 as they look to secure their 10th straight AFC West title under head coach Andy Reid.

As successful as the Chiefs have been over the past half decade-plus though, the explosive plays we'd grown accustomed to haven't really been there of late.

Perhaps with Rashee back in the fold that'll change though. Along with a healthy, and bigger , Isiah Pacheco toting the rock out of the backfield.

But it's hard to argue with results. And outside of February's Super Bowl LIX performance, Patrick Mahomes has seemingly always found a way to get the job done.
