The wait for the Kansas City Chiefs' "real" season to begin has arrived with the Houston Texans rolling into Arrowhead Stadium for the second time this season in the Divisional Round.
With the Texans taking care of the Los Angeles Chargers in the Wild Card round while Patrick Mahomes and Co. sat on the couch with their feet up, both teams come into this one in different physical shape.
The Chiefs are well-rested, and the Texans have one more game of wear and tear, so it will be interesting to see how both teams start this game.
Will the Chiefs be rusty? And can the Texans continue their good second-half form against the Chargers? For CBS Sport's Jordan Dajani, this one has a Chiefs win written all over it.
"The storyline surrounding the Chiefs is their pursuit of the NFL's first-ever three-peat," Dajani writes. "This offense was statistically middle of the pack, but I think they proved last year they can hit a different gear once the postseason rolls around. The Texans are 0-5 all time in the divisional round and 0-5 all time on the road in the postseason. I have the Chiefs winning this game."
With Mahomes undefeated in this round of the postseason, coupled with the fact that he's coming off a bye, is at home, and has already beaten the Texans (Week 16, 27-19), it is easy to see why the Chiefs are favorites.
The road to a historic three-peat has begun, and with the Chiefs in good form and at home, expect them to do what they always do in the postseason - just win.
