After leading the Kansas City Chiefs to their second win of the 2025 season, quarterback Patrick Mahomes watched as his former teammate Tyreek Hill and the Miami Dolphins faced Garrett Wilson and the New York Jets on "Monday Night Football" in Week 4. The Dolphins and Jets both entered the game at 0-3, while the Chiefs improved to 2-2 after an 0-2 start.

But in the third quarter of Monday night's game, the Dolphins lost one of their key pieces as Hill went down with a leg injury. Hill brought in his sixth catch of the night for 10 yards. As he was toward the sideline, Jets defender Malachi Moore wrapped Hill up by his legs, securing the tackle.

However, Hill's left leg got caught underneath Moore, causing it to bend in an awkward direction. The wide receiver stayed down in some pain for a bit before being carted off the field and transported to a local hospital. After further evaluation, Hill was diagnosed with a dislocated knee, per ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Mahomes, who appeared to be tuning into the game, showed support for his former teammate with a post on social media.

"Prayers up man….. ," Mahomes wrote on X.

Hill spent his first six NFL seasons with the Chiefs from 2016 to 2021, including five alongside Mahomes. With Mahomes as Kansas City's starting quarterback, Hill upped his game, recording 343 catches for 4,854 yards and 43 touchdowns in four years. But before the 2022 season, the Chiefs elected to trade Hill to Miami in exchange for five draft picks. There's a thought that Hill's injury could "open a door" for the Chiefs.

On Wednesday, Hill shared a post after he underwent surgery.

Up next for Mahomes and the Chiefs, a "Monday Night Football" battle of their own against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 5.
